Gino, a passionate restaurateur, has been active in the Setia Alam F&B scene since his return from the U.S. in 2015. His first venture was a licensing deal with Inside Scoop, a local ice cream brand, opening its Setia Alam outlet. In 2017, he founded Pan & Wine, the area’s first semi-fine dining restaurant specializing in niche wines, which remains one of the most sought-after western spots in town.
To elevate the local F&B scene, Gino collaborated with Chef Haruka and Chef Yogi to launch Bar Hanareya, Setia Alam's first sake cocktail bar. He also introduced Ugatsu, evolving it from a izakaya restaurant to cater to local tastes.
Expanding further, Gino and Chef Haruka opened Sushi Hana, the first Edomae Omakase outside of Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur, followed by Yakiniku Botan+, an authentic Japanese BBQ restaurant. Looking ahead, Gino and his team have acquired five more shoplots to develop a multi-concept dining row, featuring Wine Wine Wine, Moto, and Toriten.
